Bowie Knife made by Alfred Hunter

Picture (below) of another Alfred Hunter knife and its original sheath

Notice the way this sheath is made (with the metal band around the opening

and the metal tip, with leather in the middle).

This construction is definitely the same as the constuction of the sheath

that is inside the outer leather covering with the sheath for my knife.
